TRQPiTECA presentsICUQTS 2018: International Chicago Underground Queer Transcendence Symposium an interdisciplinary festival celebrating creative cultural engagement with local and international queer communities through exhibition of visual & performance art, music, video & film, panel discussions, workshops, vendors, and community organizations September 29 & 30, 2018. The symposium will center the art and culture of underground, queer, trans, gender non-conforming, people of color, femme, and non-binary artists. In addition to highlighting Chicago-based artists, the work of national and international artists will be featured in order to encourage discussion and engagement within the global queer movement. Organized by TRQPITECA, this festival will perform TRQPITECA’s mission on a larger scale: creating space for artists developing queer aesthetics, celebrating life, and uplifting today’s generation of queer artists influencing contemporary culture.
